The minimum requirements for admission are shown below. Priority will be given to applicants who did Art & Design, Design & Technology, Music, and Home Economics at secondary school level.
(a) Certificate Programme: Junior Certificate or equivalent; minimum of a pass in English;
(b) Diploma Programme: BGCSE / IGCSE or equivalent. Minimum of a pass in English. Foreign applicants must have IELTS or proof that their medium of study was English;
(c) Degree Programme: BGCSE / IGCSE or equivalent. Minimum of a pass in English. Foreign applicants must have IELTS or proof that their medium of study was English;
(d) RPL:
- Individuals who do not have formal qualifications for accessing either the certificate, diploma, or degree programmes, but possess working knowledge of the discipline they want to study may apply for admission through the RPL Entry Scheme
- Upon admission the applicant will be enrolled on a short course not exceeding three months to facilitate acquisition of RPL certificate;
- Where an applicant already has recognized RPL certificate from a recognized institution the Admissions Board will seek approval from the concerned department to admit the applicant for the desired course of study;
- The RPL applicant must show that he/she is capable of following instructions in English.
(e) CAT: Applicants under the CAT Entry Scheme will be considered according to international CAT best practice.
(f) ADMISSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY:
- No applicant will be marginalized on account of disability;
- Disabled applicants must notify the Admissions Board in their letter of application about the nature of their disability;
- CCMACT will consider reserving a percentage of its annual admissions for disabled persons.
(g) Short Courses: Entry into non-credit bearing short courses will be determined by availability of space in a particular course.
(h) APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
- Applications may be made online, by post, or over the counter at CCMACT;
- A non-refundable Application Fee of BWP300.00 must accompany all applications;
- Application Form and list of courses offered are available on CCMACT website;
- Applicants must attach the following supporting documents to applications:-
- Proof of payment of BWP300.00 Application Fee
- Certified copy of Identity Document, passport, etc;
- Certified copies of secondary school certificates;
- Certified copies of other qualifications;
- Certified copies of transcripts from other colleges (if transferring from other colleges);
- Certified copy of Certificate of Good Conduct (if transferring from other colleges);
- Only applicants who meet entry requirements will be responded to;
- CCMACT will not consider incomplete applications;
- Completed application documents correctly submitted will be acknowledged in writing.
